Moving house can be a very stressful time. We are professional removalists and have been relocating customers all over Victoria, interstate and Australia wide. Along the way we have picked up a few tips to make your next move go smoothly.
- Phone us on 03 9597 9185 and book your move. Prepare some cartons for packing.
- If doing the packing yourself, start packing non-essential items and clothing and list the items packed on the outside of the box.
- Contact your electricity and gas companies (Origin Energy, Ergon Energy etc) and communication providers (Telstra, Optus and Vodafone etc).
- Arrange disconnection and reconnection of telephone, Internet and pay-TV services at your new address.
- Arrange for child care on the day of the move.
- Organise care for your pets on moving day and make sure your pets have tags with your mobile or new phone number on them.
- Make a list of the items you want the removalist to move and any items you’ll be moving yourself.
- Arrange redirection of mail with Australia Post, this can be done online.
- Put important documents such as passports and drivers' licences in a safe place and keep all moving related documents together.
